Neurosurgery
Neurosurgery is a branch of surgery that treats disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. It includes the treatment of stroke, aneurysm, brain tumor, skull base disease, endovascular surgery, brain injury, herniated disc, cervical disc herniation, spinal tumor, and spinal cord injury.
Neurosurgery is further divided into two subspecialties: brain surgery and spine surgery. Brain surgery treats disorders of the brain and its blood vessels, while spine surgery treats disorders of the spine and spinal canal.
